PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM
Our most obvious measure to make our hotel sustainable was to install photovoltaic systems on the roof. The solar systems went into operation in December 2011 and have been supplying our hotel with plenty of energy ever since. The systems deliver up to 11,000 kWh per year. We get the rest of our electricity from “Salzburg AG”, which supplies us with pure green electricity that comes from renewable energy sources.

PELLET HEATING
In spring 2014 we decided to replace our oil heating system with pellet heating. This not only enables us to heat our hotel completely, but also to supply the four neighboring houses with heat. We use wood pellets as biofuel. This CO2-neutral raw material is obtained from 100% sustainable use.
WASTE AVOIDANCE
In order to avoid unnecessary waste, we also purchase our food in bulk packs and largely avoid PVC packaging in our purely organic breakfast buffet. Of course, we separate and dispose of our waste conscientiously.
ELECTRICITY STATION
As a special service for our guests, we offer a charging station for electric cars or e-bikes.
By “green arrival” we mean the journey to the hotel on the day of arrival with an electric car, a bicycle or by train.
We hope that we are setting a good example as a pioneer in the area of sustainability and environmental protection and will continue to think about how we can further optimize our hotel in this direction.

Our hotel is located in Salzburg in the Maxglan district. Most rooms are located at the back, with a view of the garden.
In about 20 minutes you can walk to Salzburg's old town with its cultural offerings and numerous sights. Many event centers, such as Stiegl's Brauwelt, Hangar 7, Terminal 2 at the airport, Oval in Europark and the exhibition center with the Salzburg Arena are partly easy to reach on foot or by trolleybus.
Your city hotel in a central location in Salzburg: Treat your car to a holiday during your stay and use public transport in Salzburg. The direct bus connection to the old town is trolleybus line 1 – “Eichetstrasse” stop. The trolleybus line 27 also takes you quickly and in an environmentally friendly manner to the center via the state hospital.
