- Description of room amenities: We offer 7 different accommodations in 4 buildings for a total of 21 guests. From a double room to a large 100 sqm holiday apartment for a maximum of 4 people. All ground floor accommodations are wheelchair accessible and for guests with dogs. All rooms on the upper floor are allergy-friendly. Guests can prepare their own meals in the apartments and holiday homes.

We bought the farm in 2002 and extensively renovated it in an environmentally sound and budget-friendly manner. In addition to having the largest private wastewater treatment plant in the district, we have various closed-loop systems for water treatment, electricity generation and use, and in our service areas. We produce as much as possible ourselves, harvest from nature behind the house, have our own zero-waste shop for our guests, and thus generate very little residual waste. We try to avoid plastic and involve our guests in all our efforts.
For guests with electric cars, we have several charging stations and, as seasoned electric car owners (driving electric since 2014), are happy to offer advice and assistance.

For us, sustainability is a sport in which we always try to get better.
Since we are already well positioned in many areas and can hardly improve, we have been focusing more on biodiversity on our 43,000 square meter site for many years. Here we also try to work in the area of social sustainability and to inspire local schoolchildren about the beauty of the wilderness. - Support for climate protection projects
- Information on supported climate protection projects: This is visible: In 2022, in cooperation with the hedgerow conservationists, we planted 240 shrubs and 100 trees as hedgerows. With the support of NABU Schleswig-Holstein, we created an orchard with 20 heritage fruit tree varieties in 2023. This is invisible: Support from our gas supplier (Polarstern Energie), our Schlei Nature Park partner, and our Baltic Sea Protection Schleswig-Holstein partner network.
- Other sustainable & social projects: Establishment of a traditional orchard with 25 old fruit trees, planting of a 270 m long hedgerow with 240 shrubs and 100 trees, collaborations and events with the Nature Conservation Foundation and the May Action Month (educational work with school classes), pilot site at Nutriving Nature, development of our own card game and a dedicated website for our measures, our own meetings of e-mobility users from the DACH region, eco-guided tours about our concept, constantly coming up with new upcycling ideas (garden cushions made from old jeans, chair socks, etc.)
