Description Organic hotel
In our hotel in Oberbozen in South Tyrol you will experience a relaxing break that is all about nature and experiencing nature. As hosts in our hotel in Oberbozen on the Ritten, we are convinced that anyone who appreciates and respects nature ultimately derives personal benefit from it. For this reason, we attach great importance to the sustainable use of our resources, not least because of our bees. We not only think organically, we also act organically. You can see this in the “GREENSIGN” award. Our beekeeping was recognized as a “Bioland beekeeping” and our restaurant is a “Partner of Bioland e. V.” and with the “Silver Status Sign”. Every year, over 200 bee colonies provide us with the finest honey products from mead, beeswax, propolis and honey to honeycomb and bee air, which our guests value so much.
The district heating plant on Ritten supplies our hotel in Oberbozen on Ritten with green energy. The waste from wood production is converted into bio-energy - CO₂-neutral and environmentally friendly. When it comes to culinary delights, Manfred, junior boss and head chef, does everything he can to use natural and local ingredients. With great attention to detail, he creates healthy and delicious dishes for our guests.

Own sustainability projects:
Paul Rinner is a passionate organic beekeeper in the third generation and has been for almost 50 years. He has decades of experience in basic farming and beekeeping. The inner attitude towards bees is very important to him. For him, the Bien* ethics is and should be of fundamental interest to every beekeeper. Working on the Bee* hive and Bee* colony should follow the natural bee life and not the other way around. Through his findings and application techniques, he has redefined Varroa control. His approach is based on purely biotechnical nature. The BANN-STUBE, the new product and its application techniques, is used against the Varroa mite, and also guarantees the queen bee a natural environment and a lot of freedom because the BANN-STUBE is made of wood.
Best spring water - Refill your bottle
Enjoy pure spring water and do good at the same time.
Mountains, forests, streams - the sunny Ritten plateau in South Tyrol has true natural treasures to offer. We want to protect these special places, our home and your holiday destination and preserve them for future generations. We use resources such as water sustainably because even small changes protect the environment. Be part of this change too.
Why carry plastic water bottles up the mountain when hiking when there are natural springs there?
With the “Refill your bottle” campaign, we want to take another step towards a more sustainable future: you too can avoid single-use plastic and enjoy our fresh spring water from our drinking fountains. Our partner companies will also be happy to refill your bottle.
Our tip: with our practical and lightweight “Refill your bottle” drinking bottles made of stainless steel, your precious drinking water is always at hand.

Description of health applications:
ApiWellness Beehive Air
Inside the hive, bees not only collect honey, but also wax, essential oils, pollen, propolis, flavonoids and royal jelly. ApiWellness consists of breathing the energy-filled and delicately scented beehive air. The soothing inhalation has a relaxing effect, regulates the immune system, brings serenity and activates feelings of happiness. The ApiWellness lasts about 30 minutes and is combined with listening to the meditative sounds of the beehive for the first time this year.
Honey massage with our organic honey
Honey is not only a treat for the palate, but also contains many minerals, vitamins and enzymes that can also pamper our skin from the outside. The sticky property of honey creates a specific mechanical effect on the skin that we cannot achieve with any other product. Dead skin cells are gently removed by the crystals contained in honey. The skin absorbs the valuable ingredients of honey and the formation of new, healthy cells is stimulated. The special hand movements during the honey massage stimulate blood circulation in the skin and lymphatic flow. The result is pure, soft, rosy skin and a fresh appearance.
