Description Organic hotel
Nestled in a fantastic mountain backdrop, the Veitenhof is located on a sunny plateau, at 1550 m above sea level, in the heart of the Tyrolean Ötztal. We have 7 holiday apartments and 1 holiday home. All are equipped with a kitchen, living-dining area, bathroom, 1-3 bedrooms, bathroom, cable TV, WiFi and balcony.
The center of the Veitenhof is a Haflinger breeding and a large riding arena, where the trained riding instructor Michael gives individual lessons for all age groups. But it's not just the horses that delight guests at the farm. Cats, two alpacas as well as guinea pigs and rabbits also attract the attention of young and old.
Anyone looking for peace and relaxation will find what they are looking for in the in-house sauna area with infrared cabin and Kneipp pool. If what's on offer at the farm isn't enough for you, you'll get your money's worth in the surrounding mountains in both summer and winter. The appropriate equipment, such as toboggans, snowshoes or bicycles, can be borrowed directly from us free of charge. A herb hike with senior manager Rosmarie or guided snowshoe hikes and cross-country skiing lessons are also on offer.
The Veitenhof has been farmed organically since 1998. The goal of leaving future generations an intact environment and acting in a resource-saving manner is not only reflected at the Veitenhof in the organic farming method - rather, we build on a holistic concept. A thermal building renovation contributes to saving CO2 just as much as a wood stove, which covers 70% of the heat supply. Our own solar system has been providing warm water for over 20 years. We have had a photovoltaic system on our barn roof since 2022.

The best ecological insulation materials were used for our renovation in 2018. We heat our farm 50% with logs and treat our water with solar heat.

From the leisurely walk, the easy hike and the breathtaking high-altitude trail to the via ferrata and the glacier tour. Free guided hikes take place 5 times a week.
Whether by mountain bike or e-bike, you can cross the entire Ötztal on the Ötztal cycle path.
For all horse lovers, we offer individual riding lessons at the riding arena in summer, horseback rides (only for riders aged 12 and over who can gallop) or even a relaxed carriage ride.
The Area 47 water park is just 25 km from our farm and is perfect for water sports enthusiasts. If you want to take it easy, you can relax at the swimming lake in Umhausen (7km) or play a game of beach volleyball.
In Umhausen there is also a bird of prey park with an air show and the Ötzi village with a guided tour.
In winter our guests have many activities such as: Skiing, cross-country skiing, biathlon, llama hike, yoga, etc. included for free - NIEDERTHAI WINTER CARD.
But Niederthai also offers a great backdrop for snowshoe hikers, tobogganers, winter hikers and ski tourers.

Our riding & organic farm "the Veitenhof" is located in Tyrol/Ötztal on the sunny Niederthai plateau at 1550m above sea level.
