Description Organic hotel
The Berglodge Goms is a small hotel / B&B with 13 rooms, which we have positioned as an adult hotel, snow sports hotel, hiking and yoga hotel. The Berglodge Goms is a new building and made entirely of wood. constructed as a traditional Valais knitted construction. With the Berglodge Goms we are addressing active people who enjoy being active in nature, who are inspired and fascinated by the silence of the mountains, and who appreciate natural aesthetics and architecture. The native and untreated larch and spruce wood used in the construction comes exclusively from the surrounding Upper Valais region.
The uniqueness of the Berglodge Goms is demonstrated by the fact that we attach great importance to an honest, modern and yet traditional architectural language that is reduced to the essentials. A simple wooden log house was built in the local architectural style, which fits well into the villagescape. We are not only hosts, but also “outdoor hosts”. With our own cross-country skiing school, we also offer our guests support on the trails. We also run a yoga studio for our guests and the local population. Numerous yoga retreats take place in our house, which are often combined with cross-country skiing, running, hiking, etc. Everything follows the motto: “thoroughly genuine”. The Berglodge Goms is a Swisstainable performer and is committed to sustainability in tourism. With our PV system on the roof of the adjacent building, we produce electricity for around 85% of our annual electricity needs. This is how we operate our heat pump and the other consumers.
Our spacious (somewhat wild) garden is designed according to the principles of permaculture and invites our guests to linger and marvel.

Description of sustainability:
The native woods used, larch and spruce, ensure that the wood grown in the high Alpine mountains is ideal for the prevailing weather climate and therefore guarantees a long service life. Our wood comes exclusively from the surrounding region and all processing stages (forestry, sawmilling, timber construction) take place locally in Upper Valais. This means that transport routes can be kept to a minimum and wooden construction made from untreated solid wood is considered climate-neutral. The added value remains 100% in the region, which helps to maintain and even promote jobs in a peripheral region.
Up to 85% of the electricity required for operation is covered by our own PV system.

Whether by train or car. The trip to Goms is a true experience. The Berglodge Goms is located right next to the Münster VS train station and is therefore perfectly accessible by public transport. The roads are very well developed and the entire Goms is well served by public transport (Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn). You can arrive by car via the Furka, Grimsel or Nufenen Alpine passes or, especially in winter, comfortably with the Furka car transport from Realp. The Berglodge Goms has parking spaces directly in front of the house.
