Our holiday apartments in Eckersdorf OT Oberwaiz are 10 minutes away from Bayreuth in a quiet, idyllic location, nestled between two nature parks, Franconian Switzerland and the Fichtel Mountains. The high-quality, brushed oak floorboards are supported by underfloor heating in all rooms. The holiday apartments are also equipped with modern furnishings and flat-screen satellite TV. The bathrooms (shower/toilet) are new and designed in a modern style; dimmer lighting can be found in all rooms. The holiday apartments have a lawn for sunbathing and a small separate outdoor area with a wonderful view of the Franconian mountain ranges near Bayreuth.
We have chosen our selected building materials with an environmentally conscious and sustainable perspective in mind. We use a solar system for the hot water and we have decided on sustainable drainage technology using a rainwater cistern. A comfortable living environment with a healthy indoor climate is supported by our "Grander" water system for underfloor heating.

Eckersdorf is also located on the Jean-Paul-Weg, which takes you from Joditz bei Hof via the Hermitage in Bayreuth to our Fantaisie palace and park and on to Sanspareil. Fantaisie Castle was built in the 18th century by the margrave's daughter, Archduchess Elisabeth Friederike Sophie. Today it houses a garden art museum - the first of its kind in Germany! Events such as concerts or theater performances become a very special experience in front of this beautiful backdrop! And don't miss the park's magnificent water cascade, which runs every hour on the hour! One of the main attractions of Fantaisie Castle is the faithful replica of the Spindler Cabinet - a room designed entirely with inlay.
