Description of hotel and room facilities:
The seminar house includes several yoga and lecture rooms, a lounge with a reference library, lots of land with meadows and a large garden with secluded places. In summer, when the weather is nice, yoga classes, lectures/workshops, meals and meditations can also take place on a large lawn in front of the house or on the sun terrace.
The rooms are simple but nice, equipped with sinks and bathrooms/showers on the floor. Collection is possible from Horhausen train station, Kardinal-Höffner-Platz. Leisure activities in the surrounding area
Ehrenstein Monastery: Approx. 10 km away on foot are the medieval ruins, along with the existing monastery and beautiful church, in the middle of the forest.
Lahr castle ruins: The old ruins in Burglahr are located on a small hill, about 7km away on foot. Next door there is an old church (Visitation of the Virgin Mary) and a tunnel.
Georg Pit: The region around the ashram is characterized by mining; it is proven that mining has been carried out here for 700 years. The old mine can be visited on request.
Sauna: There is a wonderful and extensive sauna area in Windhagen, about 30 minutes by car from the ashram. A little further there is another opportunity.
Hiking: Our house is located in the idyllic Grenzbachtal, in the middle of the Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park. The Westerwaldsteig is right next to the house and the Wiedweg is just 1km away. The hiking area around the house can therefore be described as ideal.
Cycling: Although the Westerwald is very mountainous, you can cycle along beautiful paths with few inclines along the Wied from the house. The routes of the former mining railway are also great for cycling. - Active holidays possible

From the A3
Frankfurt-Cologne, motorway exit 36 Neuwied-Altenkirchen (not Dierdorf-Neuwied, not Neustadt/Wied). On the B256 towards Altenkirchen.
Drive through Willroth, Horhausen, Güllesheim. After Güllesheim, after approx. 1.5 km, turn on the right into a forest path (sign “Haus Yoga Vidya”). After 700 meters you will be in front of the Yoga Vidya house.
From the A61
Koblenz motorway triangle onto the A48 towards Frankfurt. At the Dernbacher triangle take the A3 towards Bonn/Cologne. Then continue as described above.
From Altenkirchen
B256 towards Neuwied. Drive past Oberlahr. 1 km after Oberlahr turn left onto a forest path. (Sign “House Yoga Vidya”).
By train and bus:
Bus number 120 runs regularly from Neuwied train station (bus platform E) to the destination stop: Kardinal-Höffner Platz in Horhausen (Westerwald)
Experience has shown that you can easily find your trip there using the connection search on vrminfo.de.
From there we offer a free transport service to the ashram between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please register by email or telephone at least one day in advance!
Collection is not possible on Thursdays between 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m
