Where there is now a former country house, a family-friendly 2-star organic hotel will soon be built on Salinenstrasse in Villingen-Schwenningen. For this purpose, Green Hotel Neckar GmbH was founded in 2017 by private investors who have already purchased the property. The managing directors of the GmbH are Gunther Jauch and the hotelier Ronan Doran.
High demands in terms of environmental protection and sustainability right from the construction stage
Ecological awareness is at the top in all areas - starting with the materials used in construction, which should be sustainable and environmentally friendly. A solar system covers the energy requirements and collected rainwater is used for the service water.
Management and shareholders
Ronan Doran is the managing director of the Central Hotel in the heart of Villingen-Schwenningen and will run the new organic hotel near the Schwenninger Moos nature reserve. A hotel chain should not be an option.
The shareholders of the GmbH are Meder Vermögensverwaltung and Doran-Hotel-Betriebs GmbH.
Timing for the construction of the ecological hotel
The construction project is still in the approval phase (as of January 2018). Dismantling is scheduled to begin in spring 2018. Until then, the Wild Wings Future sports boarding school will initially be housed in the country house. Nearby is the environmental center on Möglingshöhe, the Neckar cycle path, the Helios Arena and the exhibition center.
The appearance of the organic hotel should match the location
What is important to investors is a harmonious appearance of the organic hotel, which should fit well into the geographical location, as well as a good relationship with the city. Discussions have therefore already been held with Mayor Rupert Kubon and Building Mayor Detlev Bührer. A charging station for e-bikes is also planned in the organic hotel.
