The roots of the organic hotel movement lie in catering: Around 25 years ago, a handful of hoteliers started offering organic cuisine in their hotel restaurants – a radical idea at the time, which was ridiculed by many. It was difficult to find suppliers and even more difficult to shed the muesli image.
Much has changed since then . Today, organic stands for creative regional cuisine, fine dining, and uncompromising enjoyment. And those who are passionate about organic in their hotel kitchens are rarely satisfied with the status quo in the rest of the establishment. We expect our hosts to also ask themselves: Where does our electricity come from? What's in the cleaning cupboard and the guest bathroom? What materials do we use for construction and renovation? How can we strengthen the region? City hotel or wellness hotel, renovation or new construction, vegan cuisine or fasting expertise: Every type of hotel has its own challenges, every property different requirements, every hotelier personal passion projects. The common guiding principle is sustainability for future generations.
