What exactly is the Austria Bio Guarantee?

Austria Bio Garantie GmbH is a company founded in 1993 as an organic control body. The Austria BIO Garantie, abbreviated ABG , is an institution operating on behalf of the Austrian food authorities that issues its own certification label with the code number AT-BIO-301 for tested products.

The ABG, which operates as a non-profit, non-profit company, is one of the leading organic inspection bodies in Austria and maintains two branches in which 40 service employees and around 100 inspectors work. ABG is also recognized as a NOP certification body by the US Department of Agriculture and an accredited certification body in third countries. Foreign branches are located in Romania, Hungary, Croatia and Bulgaria. Control contracts currently exist with 10,700 agricultural businesses and 1,300 processing plants. International collaborations have been agreed with various other control and certification bodies within Europe.
