The "AHVV label 90–100% organic certified" refers to a special award for businesses in the out-of-home catering sector. The AHVV label makes transparent the actual percentage of organic ingredients used in the kitchen and in the goods used – thus providing reliable guidance for customers.
What does the AHVV license plate mean?
AHVV stands for "Aushaus-Haus-Verpflegung" (out-of-home catering). This label is awarded to kitchens and catering establishments that demonstrably use a very high proportion of certified organic food. The 90–100% organic level represents the highest category: virtually all ingredients used come from certified organic farming.
Difference to general organic guidelines
- Precise percentage classification: The organic content is clearly and measurably displayed.
- Operational audit: The actual use of goods in the kitchen is checked.
- High transparency: Guests can immediately recognize the organic quality level.
- Clear distinction: more standardized than purely voluntary organic labeling on individual foods.
